Dr Meenesh Shah, Chairman NDDB along with senior officials of NDDB and its subsidiary attended a multi-stakeholder meeting organised to review and take forward the Vidarbha Marathwada Dairy Development Project (VMDDP).

CM, Govt of Maharashtra; Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil ji, Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development, Govt of Maharashtra; Shri Tukaram Mundhe, Secy, AH&DD, Govt of Maharashtra, Shri Bhushan Tyagi, Joint Commissioner, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Dr Niteen Patil, Vice Chancellor, MAFSU; Dr Hemant Vasekar, Commissioner, AH, Govt of Maharashtra and Shri Ajit Pawar, Commissioner, DD, GoM were among the dignitaries present during the meeting.
A detailed presentation was made by Shri Tukaram Munde, Secretary, AH&DD, Govt of Maharashtra on Phase II of the Dairy Development Plan to be implemented in Vidarbha and Marathwada region of Maharashtra. It has numerous interventions including, coverage of all 19 districts of Vidarbha & Marathwada, animal induction, setting up of mega cattle feed plants, silage production units etc.
